I saw Incubus during the first semester of my freshman year (2000). The band played a semi-acoustic/electric set at a small space in Boston. I knew a bit about the band from a guy named Robbie in high school (Make Yourself was the first burned CD I ever owned) – but I never imagined that their live sound was that flawless. After seeing them perform, I was able to chat with Brandon and Jose. We talked about how to go about finding inspiration, creativity, and of course Calabasas. Great music made by wonderful people is an A+ in my book.
