I have/had the same issue. Taking a creative writing workshop during undergrad helped me get over that a little. Granted sometimes taking advice on things to change is still difficult, but all books have to go through editors who are going to recommend changes as well.

Sometimes we’re so close to the work that we can’t see the issue(s). We live and breathe it while writing it and it makes sense to us. Sometimes an outside perspective is needed to see the things that you, as the author, can’t. GL! :)
