My dad teaches martial arts and one of his clients is a pharmacist. He told me that she told him how crowded it is, and how she has these huge student loans to pay down, but it’s almost impossible to do because the government taxes her so heavily. A good pharmacist is valuable. I had a patient who is a pharmacist tell me it was much easier to become one a few years ago. One of my son’s friends is having difficulty getting into a pharm program despite good grades and intelligence. There are cycles of increased need followed by an increase in graduates who flood the market. But if you truly want to be a PharmD, don’t let it stop you!
