Learn html so that I can ACTUALLY have a website
Untitled

The most important tool in learing HTML is the View Source function of your web browser. Find websites that you like and look at how they do it. Beyond that, there are lots of websites on it. Google is definately your friend. I can do HTML and am tackling CSS, and I’ve never had need of books for it. Which isn’t to say you should avoid books or anything. Just get what you can off the web before you spend the money.

Yup... look at code...

I’d suggest getting FireFox and viewing with its view source… it syntax highlights… make the code even clearer… If you’re on a Mac… get a copy of OmniWeb, it reformats and identifies syntax errors in HTML with its view source viewer.
