Best way: consolidate your debt. Best thing I ever did during my school years was to take all my credit cards to the local community credit union and get a lumpsump loan and pay everything off.

I didn’t do it for the longest time though because I was stupid and didn’t reaolize the difference even a few age points compounded compared to what the cards charge (18-22) (highway robbery if ya ask me). I don’t think I could have paid my credit card loans off unless I had consolidated it and gotten a lower rate on the loan amount I used to payoff the cards.

Now I always try to pay off my credit card every month and don’t carry more than 1. yes. 1 credit card thats it. happy happy joy joy!
