live by the sea
Untitled

I actually already have the sea within a walking distance, but it’s quite not what I’ve been dreaming of. It’s of course nice to be able to see the sea after walking only a couple of minutes, but I still can’t see it from my windows. And in my sea related dreams it definitely isn’t so cold all year round as it is here :-) It’s minus 20 celsius at the moment, so I really couldn’t just take my sandals and go to the beach to swim a little! Hehe. (I like cold winters though – they’re just not part of this particular goal of mine.)

I’m not planning to live by the sea the rest of my life, but it’d be nice to rent a house near the sea and live there for a few months, preferably somewhere it’s fairly warm all year round. Right now I’m thinking about moving to a city that isn’t so near the sea, but I doubt I’ll stay there forever, so I might make this sea dream come true after that :)

EDIT: I’ve been visiting the sea a lot this past summer so I feel like I’ve actually done this now :) I still want to live in an actual beach house somewhere it’s warm all year round, but for now I feel like this goal is completed!

I think

that – between your “learn Spanish” goal & your “live by the sea” goal – you need to be investigating Barcelona! grin

That’s true! :) Barcelona is on my list of places I really want to see but I’m not sure whether it would be the best place to learn Spanish. I know you can easily live there even if you only speak English and/or Spanish but I think you have to speak Catalan if you want to really get to know the people (and that’s definitely something I want). Learning two languages at once seems a bit too much work for me so I think that for now I prefer moving to a Spanish speaking region :)

Scott Bull loves his always amazing Jen so much.

No Diving.

Just be glad you don’t live where I do; I reside in a town known as Sunny Sunny Southend, (well, that’s what the natives call it, and despite 52% of the days being overcast; Essex is actually the dryest county in England).

Anyhow, due to limited space from dumping our waste, (we didn’t have natives to kill here when the Normandy invaded), we tend to pump all of our faecal waste into the Thames River and the sea; now Southend-On-Sea is a coastal town, and you wouldn’t even want to see your worst enemy going for a swim in our water, this is a town in which you literally can fish for brown trout; heck, on Boxing Day you could probably walk to Calais.

It says in the Bible that Jesus walked on water; in Southend, that’s pretty much possible every day of the year.

indigoliquidd ready dood!

By the sea, huh?

Here is your theme song. ;-)
