My teenboy told me last night that for a high-school senior project, one kid he knows built a dugout. As in, researched native canoe-production techniques, cut down tree, hollowed it out, shaped it, paddled it.

How cool is that?

that I would also like to do. Someday. In my vast amounts of spare time :)

I got through the holidays okay. Now school is back in session, maybe I can do this at the vo-tech program at the local h.s. or college.

I spoke with Jimmy yesterday. I think that’s who I meant by Mr. J. Then there is the director of the vo-tech program, whose name I forget.
