1. 3 books in the Remy Chandler series by thomas Sniegoskil Paranormal urban fiction about an ex-angel detective. Good for young adults as vulgarity and profanity is not used regularly. In fact, the idea of an angel drinking and swearing seems silly at times but peer pressure is tough even on angels. What interests me is the original storylines. The first is best, the second 0kay and the third improved.
2. When Rabbit Howls by Truddi Chase. Written by a woman with 92 documented personalities(dissociative identity disorder). Fascinating look into how severe child abuse fragments a child’s mind and creates multiple personalities as a coping strategy.
3. And She Was by Cindy Dyson. Surprisingly fascinating book about how the legacy of some Aleutian women positively impacted a Caucasion woman who was drifting through life.
4.People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks. I absolutely loved this book. I realize it is too dry by many people’s standards. It is about a woman who works with rare books like a detective into its past history. The story evolves around her life impacted by the book and the people who came before her.
