Yeah, I’d like to take an Alaskan Cruise:
Alaska = Cool (read: I think it’s neat.)
Also, Alaska = Cold! or at least my wife thinks so. Her idea of a cruise is HOT weather, sunbathing, HOT weather, the equator, HOT weather, beaches, sun, fun, oh and did I mention – HOT weather?
While I’d love to do that with her, and maybe someday will… I’d also love to take an Alaskan Cruise: comfortable weather, on the cold side of things, beautiful vistas, NOT HOT weather, neat things to sight-see, etc.
But… if we end taking a cruise, it’ll probably be a Disney Cruise with the kids.

Go for it?
So when ya going to do it?
I lived in Alaska.
Where the heck is Evansville? I was born in Knox County, and lived there for two and twenty years.
Bah!
Myth: Alaska Is Cold (50 degrees F or less) 365 Days A Year.
Truth: Only if you live in Barrow or another community above the Arctic circle. Anchorage, the southeast panhandle, and the interior (where Fairbanks is) are all nice and toasty in the summer (though it rains a LOT in the southeast; it’s much like Seattle or other PNW coastal rainforest regions).
So, the solution is to go to Alaska in the summertime (or early fall, since prices start coming down and most of the other tourists are gone, but the days are still nice and warm). Either that or you go to Alaska and your wife can go to Phoenix or someplace like that. Heh.
