And while I got a GREAT deal on it (I hope), I’ve effectively put a massive hole in my savings, and have now given myself a long term expense :P
I did have money-saving criteria for my car:
1. 4 cylinder (fuel economy)
2. 4/5 door (cheaper insurance)
3. Dual airbags (for safety purposes. This evidently made me spend more on a car, but here I feel its worth the safety, especially seeing as I’ll often be driving other people.)
On the plus side, I have more free time at uni this year (well, hospital placements and such) so I’m actually going to be working a little bit more than last year.
This year is savings year. Despite the fact that I’m going to Cairns for a week in June, I’m sure I’ll actually save more money than I have in previous years, as long as I maintain this attitude of watching my bank account.
