make the most of Edinburgh (read all 10 entries…)
Lately

I have been surprisingly sociable and out and about. I went to a Justin Townes Earle concert in Glasgow a few weeks ago. I’d never even heard of him but a guy offered me a spare ticket and who am I to refuse? It was amazing!! Just him, a guitar and apparently a large amount of alcohol in his bloodstream. It was so brilliant that when I went and actually listened to his albums, I was quite disappointed, because they couldnt even come to close to the atmosphere of the concert! There was a 50 year old biker standing next to me crying during one of the songs.

Then I saw the Scottish national symphony orchestra playing Rachmaninoff, which was excellent! Although they did wheel a grand piano on stag during the interval, so I kept wondering if they were going to break into a concerto instead!

Been out for a few nice meals now that I am dating again. Had a truly excellent steak and ale pie a few nights ago!

Next weekend I am going to watch the Welsh beat Scotland at Murrayfield :D

And on Sunday back to Glasgow to see British Sea Power!
