What a buzz. The youngest elephants were free to walk among the visitors as part of the program to help socialize them.

oh my god. i want to marry an elephant. or a sea turtle. the both seem like such noble and brilliant creatures. looking at elephants in pictures makes me feel like almost crying. i’m jealous you got to see them in real life!
Was this with Intrepid? Only I noticed the photo on your page, and am asking since I’m looking at intrepid ventures myself! What were the people like? Is it a good mix? What kind of age groups??!
Hi auroraj13. It certainly was with Intrepid. We’ve travelled Cambodia, Burma, Loas, China, Vietnam, and India with this company – mixing with a different group of people each time. The company’s philosophy of responsible travel is what attracts us to it. That and the limit on group sizes that helps keep the numbers low – so you have plenty of time to get to know each other. Ages and background tend to vary – but that just adds to the interest. And if you don’t get along with someone, there is still plenty of options and free time in the program so you can cut loose to find space for yourself (if needed).
