Never eat McDonald's again (read all 10 entries…)
Last night... 3 years ago

my daughter had a choral preformance and I was running late to get there. I really wanted to whip into those “ever so welcoming” golden arches, especially since I could smell the fresh fries…but I resisted. Fortunately for me there was a place a few blocks down that served fresh fruit smoothies and had a drive through. So I had a lovely stawberry banana smoothie made with Spirilina (sorry I know that’s not spelled correctly) and wheat germ. Much better for me in the long run and when I got home I was able to have a small snack. Yea Me!

Good 4u!

I’m nowhere near your resolve. My son wanted a cheeseburger, so I risked double parking to get him one. He’s not been well and he is a picky eater. I know, I should do better. I do need to work on my “mommy-ish” culinary skills – food that are healthy for my son and doesn’t look like he’s about to gag on them.

The last time

I ate at McD’s I got soooo sick I couldn’t sleep. I even took tums and still wasn’t any better. It’s only been 2 months but I am determined not to do it again.
It does take a little forethought to plan stuff and if I hadn’t procrastinated I would’ve had dinner at home and not had to buy a smoothie at all…but I am getting better at it. Check out laptoplunches.com They have some pretty good ideas in their news letters, just to get the creative juices flowing.

Thanks TeaPriestess

I will surely check out the link. Definitely need to be more creative with food, I keep on consuming the same ol (not exactly healthy) thing ;) Take care!
