I have been feeling really lame with making a bit more money, getting out of debt, and doing annoying things like buying makeup and expensive dinners. I have always wanted to help people and kind of assumed I should be doing so in some big, huge, grand way. I would still like to do that. But for now I just decided to sponsor a child from World Vision. It felt like a big commitment, I think because it seems indefinite, which was weird, because $35 a month is actually NOT much of a commitment when it comes to helping someone (and probably good practice for actually having children). I already feel better about everything. They say helping people helps YOU as much as anything and for the past five minutes of this experience, I can confirm that to be the case.
