I just had my first full physical after 40. (That was a fun alliterative sentence!)
I started with a new doctor due to my change of insurance, and he insisted on the full works before he would take me on as a patient. At first I was annoyed, but I also know that his thoroughness as a physician is much better than the alternative.
The physical included lung x-rays, pulmonary capacity tests, an EKG, fasting cholesterol tests, and what I’m the most interested in: fasting triglycerides.
I am interested to see what the triglycerides come out to. The last time I was tested, they were way too high. I hope they’ve come down somewhat, but either way, I need to keep my eye on the prize.
