and not been on 43T much lately… but I have been making good progress on some of my goals.

Lots and lots of work in the garden, lots of tender plants growing on windowsills round the house. The lawn is almost starting to look like a lawn, and not a dirt track for greyhounds. I carefully re-seeded bald patches on the lawn, only for Gertie greyhound to dig them up :oO so today I bought a metre of turf, and we patched up the worst bits. It looks a bit ropey but I’m sure it will be ok soon.

I painted the shed in brick red, I’m going to pick out the window frames and the strips along the roof (don’t know what they’re called, but you get the idea from the piccie – not my shed I hasten to add!) to give it that Scandinavian look. Apologies if anyone finds this tacky, but it appeals to me and it’s my shed :)

We could do with some rain her in the dry old East, it hasn’t rained properly in about a month, and the water butts (no relation) are empty, and my young plants are thirsty babies. Never mind…

Although there’s still lot of bits to be done, and it’s early days, I’m happy with the progress so far. Today I even spent some time sitting outside, reading my book, enjoying my little garden – that’s what it’s all about, after all.
