Have you seen the ad in J. Crew this past week? Have you seen The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’s take on this issue?

”...you know that nail polish comes off…the same place they sell the polish they sell a clear liquid…an antidote for the nail polish…”

So what’s your take on all this? For or Against it and why?

Myself personally, it just an adorable ad of a mother holding her son Beckett’s foot painted with neon nail polish. The whole thing is a play date for mom and her son, that’s it. He’s too young to understand what nail polish and gender identity really means.

Pink Toes

Well, I said this about it the other day (I’m too lazy to write out my opinion again… :P)

I think John Stewart handled it very well. I agree completely with the point he was making, and his piece on it cracked me up.

It is funny

in a sad way.

Some people really should get themselves a life. And some ‘journalists’ should get themselves some dignity. And I am not talking about Steward but all the other people he is showing.

“An attack on masculinity.” Hahahahaha! Boy, who’s unsure of himself now?

Hee hee!

I know...

The negative comments from Dr. Keith Ablow really got to me…however, all the positive ones from moms about their little boys and little girls who paint their brother’s nails) coming out and commenting that, “almost every little boy does this, plays with mommy’s make-up, dress up and nail polish, why because they love mommy and love the colors.”

Plus, Dr. Ablow telling Jenna, to “put away some money in the future for her son (Beckett) for psychotherapy…” Two things, why is it a problem growing up and your gay, (even though there i nothing wrong with it, and being a member of the LGBT community, also.

It’s the way we label people, oh no he might grow up to be gay! Like it’s a bad thing. Maybe growing up to be a mass murderer is a bad thing but not being a member of the LGBT community.

Secondly, he’s only 5 years old! How dopes Dr. Keith Ablow, Fox News so-called expert on Gender Identity, have any experience, long term studies now, that “boys who wear (pink) nail polish will need future psychotherapy, is it fact?..No, he has no basis just his stereotypical homophobi8c opinion, and this guy writes books?

I hope Fox News replaces this guy with someone less opinionated than who they have now, LOL

You are right.

And now I will remember this video the next time I put trousers on my little girls. ;-)

Oh, okay?

What? LOL

scooterbird Summer's here and the time is right...

Where indeed do they get these guys?

“YOU BET it’s an attack on masculinity, Deirdre! It’s attacking me! I can feel it right now! In my pants!!

“And I’m a really masculine guy! Boy, am I manly! You just ask any of my friends, because I remind them that I’m a guy! A lot!! Well, okay…there’s a George Michael album in my car…but I bought it before I knew he was gay!! And now I don’t listen to it quite as much as I did, because it makes me feel all funny…but not that way! It’s because…um…hey! I drink beer! That’s manly! And I belch! And I even giggle afterwards, and don’t say ‘excuse me’ because that’s what manly men like me are supposed to do!”

“So stop painting little boys toenails pink! Because it makes me really insecu—I mean ANGRY!!”

:)

So who 's on first?

If who is on first then what is on second?

scooterbird Summer's here and the time is right...

Are you sure you know the players' names?

“So what’s the name of the guy on first base?”
“No, no, What’s the name of the guy on second base.”
“I’m not asking ya who’s on second!”
“Who’s on first!”
“I don’t know.”
“THIRD BASE!”

Geo58 Former NFL Pro Bowl Junior Seau dead at 43

OKay, I am the pitcher...

and I throw the ball to the catcher…

Tommorow,

tommorow?

that’s the catcher’s name

So tomorrow throws the ball to first base,

That’s who,

That’s what I am asking

What is on second

okay I pitch the ball to the catcher, and the runner goes to first base,

that’s who

That’s what I am been asking you, what is the guy’s name on first base?

Who is on first base?

I give up, LOL

Well, it might make the kid

want to wear nail polish later in his life.

Damned if I can figure out why that would be bad, though.

Geo58 Former NFL Pro Bowl Junior Seau dead at 43

I don't think it would...

either way…right now he’s five years old, he has no idea what J. Crew is, all he sees is he is having his picture taken with his mom.

He looks and appears happy, so I don’t think this is tagged or forced on him. He likes the color pink so I think Jenna, (and this really happened to her and Beckett one day) and Jenna thought, maybe this is a perfect chance to get my 5 year old in the catalog, since I am the President of the company, LOL) and since Beckett loves pink, why not just bring him to the set and have his photo shoot?

So, even if he grows up and still loves nail polish, what’s the big deal? Even if he grows up Trans Gender or not? Is it a threat on some one’s masculinity? Jon Stewart said it best…you know the polish comes off, the same place where you buy the polish you can buy the antidote, LOL Where is the threat? Please tell me?

It was a photo shoot.

The kid was modeling for an ad. In the modeling world, you wear what they say, and they pay you good money. So this is really a fuss about a totally fake situation.

But even if the kid wears nail polish in real life, who cares?
