but I’m excited about it anyway. My puter guru is a ruthless task master. He’s making me learn how to do it myself. Argghhh!!! I’m old dammit! But he’s all about independence and staving off Alzheimer’s and learning new things is good for that. He should know. He’s older than me. Plus the fact, that he’s a selfish bastard that doesn’t want to spend his free time babysitting me. LOL…so….I will learn.
This will take awhile, but not too long. It will be a store, a retrospective, an ego booster, a blog. I have my domain names of shellybedsaul dot com and foolesdreamstudio dot com. I’ve needed a place of my own to sell my originals, prints, merchandise, vent, pontificate, blog, teach and promote. The first is up, but still under construction. I’m doing this through wordpress. It is going to be too damn kewl.
The reason I’m announcing now….people are leaving here. I’m probably not going to be on as much and my posts will prolly be a bit droll. I can’t really post that much about my career, because NW would prolly see it as spam. I’m in a panic. I see this community disolving or at least the ones I’ve become close to. I want folks to know how to get a hold of me. I won’t delete, I just know it won’t be the same. Gone will be the posts of fan boys, lust lists, vents and rants, personal photos and the trials and tribulations of finding a bra that fits or stating anything that would give a medical insurance company cause to cancel or a safe haven to report employer abuses. It’s like when my kids left the nest. Yeah, we talk now and then, but it’s not the same closeness we had. I miss them. I will miss the old camaraderie I found here, which in my belief is also responsible for the success of this site. We were the kewl kids, but just as in the real estate food chain of urban renewal, once a neighborhood is labelled kewl, gentrification begins and becomes a corporate watered down version of what it once was. Sad.
