First aid changes so fast that even if you think you know something like CPR or the safe airway (“recovery”) position, you’ll be surprised how wrong common knowledge can be. I can’t recommend first aid courses enough – I took an ITC course, but there’s also St John’s Ambulance and many others. I did mine with school but there are plenty running elsewhere.
