Do you feel your age, or younger/older?
Or is your age completely irrelevant?
Comments:
I feel that I am my age. I’ve actually been thinking about this, and I have always felt quite same way about me. I don’t mean now that when I was 7 years old I felt same than when I was 21. I mean that they way I looked the world has always been by my own eyes and while I have grown my perspective have changed. I have no idea how other 25 years olds feel about themselves so I am not sure do I feel the same as “regular 25 years old”. I just feel like my own age that changes as I grow. If this makes any sense.
If I think about that I am half way there to 30’s it makes me feel old. However, generally, I don’t feel old.

I'm 40.... & it amazes me!
I’m blown away that I’ve lived this long!
I don’t feel that old in my head (i don’t feel any older than when i was at 20 – just a lot less unsure & fearful)............ then I encounter a young person & can’t even understand what they’re saying because I don’t know all the new slang.
All this nostalgia for the ‘80s makes me feel old too.
Physically its a whole other story. My knee joints feel 40! and I’m fat & can’t climb trees like i used to.
Butterfly is thoroughly enjoying our new place!
I'm 22...
most of the time I feel younger, but at the same time I feel more mature than the 22 year old’s I know. I don’t really “feel” 22, but then again, I don’t know what it’s supposed to feel like it. At the moment, I feel I’m staring into the black hole of the future with no way to know what’s there. But I think that has a lot more to do with being in final year uni rather than age.
I don’t know, I was always taught to never judge people by their age. I’d miss out on a whole lot if I did :)
Becca is back. Watch out. :)
I look younger than I am, but I often feel older than I am. Chronic illness can do that to a person. Being in pain all of the time makes me feel decades older than I am. So that I look younger and have the spirit of the young helps to balance that out for me. :)
i am
30, but most people find it hard to believe as i look younger. people always seem to think i am 24/25 which is fantastic!
the best was when a customer in the restaurant asked me if i had finished my A-levels that day! i was like… erm i finished school a long time ago! i still occasionally get asked for id to buy ciggarettes, ha ha. its a bit crazy.
but regardless, i feel my age, i think about time moving on and things id like to acheive, and also how short life is, so make the best of your years. and at the same time i still feel like im 24 years old again… not taking life too seriously either. theres a balance between the 2. so its a bit of yin and yang
also i am fine with getting older, but i do want to look good for my age as i get older. (in my ideal world, i will look younger every year that i age, with out the help of surgery etc) i really love seeing older women in their 50s, 60s and older and you think wow they just look amazing, and you cant believe that they are significantly older.mentally, physically, emotionally etc with vitality and energy for life. i admire women like that. it takes effort and pride to keep maintaining your appearance, health etc esp as one gets older
aging..
sometimes I feel entirely too old for my age and sometimes I feel the complete oposite (being too young for my age).
I know I look younger which used to be annoying but now isn’t anymore. :)
(I’m 21)

I'm 40 plus
but I still feel 20. It’s comforting to see my kids get older, but I’m the same.
I’m about 10 pounds lighter than I was a couple of years ago. I think that might help. I also like to eat healthy, and love to move.

My mum
used to say “you’re only as young as the woman you feel” ;)

I was thinking
of that same quote today too. George Burns said that and it’s funnier for him to say it than your mom.
littlesoul dark is......satisfying!
True
don’t even know why my mum said it as i don’t think she was interested in women…....or was she?????
Spyrunner I can't seem to give away all my cheers
maybe
she heard George Burns say it, and she didn’t get it.
tangerine_now Out of cheers, I am. Annoying, this is.
Age of innocence
I am my age. I’ve always been my age.
I’m currently 36 years old. Some people think I’m younger. Younger people think I’m older. I don’t care much.

I don’t like to give out my age. People get so caught up in the number and measure you according to it. I know this because I was someone who always did that when I was younger.
When you try to be vauge about it, people seem obsessed with finding out how old you are – as if it were a challenge for them to know.
LOL – I’m a runner so anyone who knows how to spell my name can find out – age is ALWAYS posted with your name.
I finally feel my age now,
but for years and years, I stayed stuck at 17…
Much has happened during the past 2-3 years, and I’ve now caught up, and can say that I feel my age. It’s a nice feeling, actually. I feel young, yet mature. Like I’ve experienced a lot, but have yet much to experience. It’s a good balance, really :)
I’m 34.
I'm 37.
For a while I was stuck at 26. Now I think myself somewhere around 30, till I remember, no, heading towards 40. So I guess, overall, my age is irrelevant.

The only thing age is good for is cheese...
I happen to be 53 years old and last time at the gym felt like I was 35 and stronger than ever, LOL; and my dad is 90 years young. Sure he has some dementia but he still can understand what your talking about,
He loves sports on TV, he watches the local Boston teams and can tell you plays and name main players and sport stars.
So, if you act young an feel young than you can be younger than you expect to be.
About to turn 30
In nine days.
I feel like me, so I guess I feel like a thirty-year-old. :)
I’ve been told there’s no magical age when you “grow up”. But, I like the nice, roundness of thirty, so I’m looking forward to it. I’ve been thinking I was 30 since about age 27. :)

Happy birthday
(don’t read this for 9 days). I hope you have a great birthday. Be happy. 30’s are a great decade.
