have purchased an orchid.
it’s a pretty little lady slipper in pale, pale green. i love it. i hope it doesn’t die.
My experience with lady slippers has been that you take them home and they drop their blossoms. They have these wonderful seed pods that I don’t know what to do with. I live in South Florida so we belong to the American orchid society.. If you love orchids it’s worth joining because of the beautiful magazine with the informative articles. Even if you are not a member you can get information on their website. Lady slippers are challenging and I would ask as many folks as I could what their approach would be. I’m wondering what kind of light and moisture they prefer. Our house is a bit dry and I have to wonder if that’s what makes them drop their heads off when we bring them home. it won’t stop us though… My husband loves those flowers.
