Totaled my car earlier this month, and needed to take out a car loan. Qualified for $30k (which I did NOT take!) at an awesome interest rate – and learned my credit score was much improved from 2007 when it hovered in the low 500s. It did take almost four years, but being diligent with payments and wise with my spending – and maintaining a budget! – has paid off. :)
