Several years ago, I sold my house to a couple and the husband was a pilot of the Goodyear Blimp. When they asked if I was leaving a bookcase for them, I jokingly said, “I will…for a ride on the blimp”. A few weeks after the closing I received a call asking me if I could get to the blimp base within a half hour…I went and not only got a chance to ride but they asked who wanted to try to fly and of course I said “yes”! It was fabulous…it flys high enough and slow enough to see everything and low enough to see everything. It only held 6 people and the only way you could get on was by invitation so I felt very lucky when other people visiting the base were asking for rides with no success.
