i just started to wear hijab in the end of Dec. 2005 and i’m still wearing it. i was afraid that i would hate it and stop but i haven’t. what i did first was kind of like a trial period. i would wear the scarf in a bun and go out like that and then i progressed to wrapping it how everyone does. This trial period lasted less than a week and i really found myself liking it. every now and then i’ll miss showing my hair especially when i see someone with really nice hair. but i just remind myself that i’m muslim. i think it’s prettier and mysterious to wear hijab.
