At our library we do a basic math skills questions, situational questions and a literature familiarity questions. I remember matching popular authors with titles. Doing some addition and subtraction. I also remember a question like “what would you do if a patron was still printing at the word processing computer at closing time?”

Ohter advice I can offer. Customer service is very important in a library. Know about the library you where are going to interview. Most libraries have a website. Great insight in to their programs. Libraries are usually open evenings and weekends, so you must be willing to work those times.
