I then got as far as the database connectivity, and hit a snag where rails seems to be ignoring my definitions in database.yml – continuing to attempt to log in as root. Which it’s not going to do. Period.

And day 2 was stalled by my not being here in the office, so, working thru day 1 on day 3.
