Collecting Supplies

As my wife is an artist, I need to get her advice on what supplies I will need to gather. I really have no idea. Any art projects I have ever worked on, the materials were set out by the art teacher.

You have an in-house expert...
...so I won’t say much about supplies, but I would encourage you not to think too hard about them, at least at the beginning. Just start painting. You probably won’t come up with something you love right away, and that’s ok, because the process should be fun regardless of the outcome.
