spend ten minutes holding the door for people
Procrastination 3 years ago

I don’t know why I haven’t done this, yet.
I suppose that I should figure out where I’m going to hold the door for strangers for ten minutes. In fairness, it should be a busy location . . . the library, perhaps? The DMV? Grocery stores are out of the question of course, as they have automatic doors.

Winter Weather

I suddenly realized why I haven’t done this yet: winter weather. I will probably accomplish this goal in the late springtime.

Oh, and I thought of a dilemma: If my ten minutes ends and someone is about to walk through the door, do I get to let go of the door and watch it hit them? Does that defeat the purpose behind this goal? :D

Is there a subway in Buffalo? If you’re at the subway during rush hour you could wind up holding the door for ten minutes without even intending to. You hold it for one person, then 50 more barge through. That’s happened to me before.
Just a thought.

Metro Rail

Buffalo doesn’t have a subway, but it does have a rail car system that is underground on the north half of the system. I’ll look into that—thanks for the suggestion!

YES! I’m liking this goal.
