An eye for beautiful photos can be developed. I read many books, by John Hedgecoe and other authors I can’t recall. Also, I pored through magazines like Life, National Geographics, etc. That way, I developed and refined (over a period of several years) an appreciation for form, patterns, textures, color, lighting, shadows, harmonies, contrast, actions, expressions, etc. I admired works like Henri Cartier Bresson’s, Robert and Frank Capa, but never copied them. All in all it was a very satisfying hobby and journey.
