Hiking has not been a priority this year…

First ‘real’ hike of the year was yesterday – CANADA DAY – I’m thinking that is the most appropriate given how I feel about Canada!!

The hike was ohhh so good.. So good just to get out of the city, and outdoors again. It’s been too long! I did Heart Creek, an easy-peasy kind of hike, but a good 3 hours spent outdoors enjoying my friends and the outdoors, it doesn’t get much better!

A kazillion flowers were in full bloom, Indian Paintbrush in red, white and bright orange, scarlet fireweed, white avens, purple fleabane, yellow glacier lilies. The flowers are late this year in the mountains, ahh to my advantage :)
