So I made an A in biology thanks to quizlet.com and my interest in biology these days. Didn’t really use anything special, I am just interested in biology and quizlet.com allowed me to rote memorize information quickly.

My mom is excited because she thinks this is a sign that I am maturing as an adult. My dad now has no doubt in his mind that I will be a straight A student for the rest of my academic career. In fact, I am actually, for the first time in my life, WANTING to go to grad school and not quit school forever anymore!!

I’m taking my last philosophy class. At first, it was hard. I didn’t do the reading, I didn’t know how to take notes… I decided to just do my best until the first exam.

Exam 1 – 91
I didn’t study really well for this, though. I just talked it out based on what he gave us on the review sheet. What I need to do next time is essential diagram each philosopher’s view point and then pretend to have a dialogue between all of them like an episode of… some really smart sitcom.

I gave my presentation today. I used powerpoint slides where as everyone else just spoke/lectured. There were not many questions after my schpeel (there was 1). I hope that means I presented the information very clearly. It was also very fun to make! Since I lost my original text, I was forced to look at many other explanations about my topic. I then had a great time finding visual aids to explain (topic was Personal Identity vs. Survival for Derek Parfit). Having fun is important.

I did procrastinate a bit, but this is what I did to get into center:
1. I played some binuaral beats (youtube it) to help my mind get focused.
2. I used pomodoro so that I would be productive without feeling tired. This worked. I was able to work for 2 – 3 hours without feeling fatigued or bored.
3. I made things fun and relevant as possible (choosing scenarios I liked and funny pictures to make my point)
