Sometimes I think that this is an impossible goal, but that is just because not many people go for it. Truly, most highschool graduates leave home and just go off to college with student loans and financial aid without a plan or clue how to pay for it all. As valedictorian, I was expected by everyone to go to college right away, but I chose not to. I want to be responsible and not rely on loans for college, so I am working for at least a year and saving up. Then I will most likely go to a community college for two years and then transfer to a four year institution and maybe still live at home to cut costs. I could get scholarships but I can’t expect them to get me through alone. I will work my a** off and pay for college myself! I think that accomplishment would mean more than even the diploma. lol
