Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

heaveemetal Still I want And still I ache But still I wait To see you again

Break the habit of throwing my mail and documents in huge piles (read all 4 entries…)
I shredded tons of documents...

Now I have to file those that need to be kept.
Right now my place looks REALLY messy.
Perhaps “LIke the darkness is the darkest before dawn’
“The disgusting mess is the most putrid before final sorting and cleaning”
I’ll just go with that right now.
On a somewhat similar note, I bought a used headboard for my bedroom that has tons of storage, mirrors, electrical outlets and rugged good looks.
It’s huge and big enough to handle all my storage needs in there.

As a Phoenix Rising i'm so incredibly sad about the loss of 43T

ohmygosh!

We are Kindred Spirits! I am beginning to call my place “Katrina” from all the unpacking of a gazillion and six boxes. Do you know how many boxes that is? It’s one more than a gazilliion and five.

I’m hoping to “downgrade” from “Katrina” to something much less visually devestaing ….... soon?

Hope your hurricane is over soon too!
xoxo

Living in a disaster zone...

is no fun at all.
Progress made.
It doesn’t look like it though Lol!

As a Phoenix Rising i'm so incredibly sad about the loss of 43T

A thirty foot high fountain

suddenly sprang forth in my jungle, er, backyard this morning!

while it was being fixed I pulled weeds. (It helped ease my embarassement about the whole jungle book theme going on.)

So, now? Half jungle, half weeded with all those little sprial-ee pricklie circle thingys that i think are weed seeds needing to be scooped out.

Sigh…......... I guess that area can now be called Katri instead of Katrina!

I’ll be cheering your efforts!

My...

procrastination has reached intolerable levels.
I would take a picture, but that may embarrass me into taking action ;)

As a Phoenix Rising i'm so incredibly sad about the loss of 43T

i can't claim procrastination

There is always a really Good Reason I’m not turning the jungle into a garden paradise. :). Like this mornings Cat War!!!

(i’ll post a picture and detail under good things about today)

Show me yours

and I’ll show you mine. ;)

Mine isn’t all paper, but it is intolerably messy. I have lived here for nearly two years and haven’t fully moved in yet.
