Haggis from a naturally raised animal (i.e. not factory farmed), it sounds like it could be a good thing to have every once and a while.

Beets? Love them, either in borscht, or just cooked, or pickled.

Whiskey? I can’t really taste it, it just feels alcohol-ee and burn-ee. I like the liquers, or wine. Not a big alcohol person in general.

Ok, special question just for Amara: What is the food with the most unusual flavor that you’ve tried? Did you like it? What did it taste like?
Amara Always disappearing & reappearing on 43things!
I’m such a picky eater, I really haven’t tried anything unusual. I can be pretty judgemental with food for no reason.

tikini tikiniland ~ where it is always summertime
Plain I don’t care much for them, but I use them in cooking often. Chopped fine they are quite flavor enhancing for bread dips, and sauces of various sorts. If I’m making a spicy sauce, I like to use anchovy to make the whole thing a little edgy.
who told me about those, LOL! But then, she said she thought we were weird for eating salad. A big plate of uncooked vegetables? Disgusting! ;-D
A Staggering Rat of Heartbreaking Something or Other "Ego spem pretio non emo."
It is a surprise of the nastiest order to find eggs, thousand-year or otherwise, buried in lasagna or moon-cakes or potato salad. I suppose fans of that kind of potato salad will come after me with pitchforks.
Balut is another abomination. And corn dogs. Corn dogs, nasty sulphuric boiled eggs buried in things and balut – to the devil with them, I say.
Todd Schoonover is rehashing old avatars
After watching them eat it on Survivor, I had to try balut myself when I was on the Big Island. I had seen it while traveling with Mr. Tikini, and then drove back there the next day to buy it. It tasted as I expected, and I’ll never have to eat it again.
I do eat the occasional corn dog, and I do like boiled eggs in my potato salad though I prefer it in a proper egg salad. I suppose the fact that I want mustard in my potato salad (and sweet pickles) will also make you rebel against me?
A Staggering Rat of Heartbreaking Something or Other "Ego spem pretio non emo."
upon hearing the word mustard, but pulled you back in when you said sweet pickles.
I’m sure we’ll share a proper haggis some day, too, perhaps accompanied by a shamrock shake.
but I share your feelings regarding that nasty M- word “food” that so many deluded people seem to enjoy ;)
Todd Schoonover is rehashing old avatars
Growing up around the Amish, they always use mustard in their salads. Besides the sweet pickles, my potato salad usually includes celery and carrots too, but no raw onion for me thank you.
Hmm, does Shamrock shake go well with Haggis? Could we use it as a dipping sauce?

I have a customer who puts it on their pizza… I wanna try that some time. I love putting it on because the smell makes me think of grilling and Germany
Todd Schoonover is rehashing old avatars
I love the smell of roasting sauerkraut. Put some swiss cheese on it on top of some corned beef on rye and baking it in the oven for a delicious Rueben.
Canadian bacon and sauerkraut pizza is a specialty of one of our local pizzerias, and it’s actually quite good. Otherwise I’m not a big fan, though a little bit on a Reuben sandwich is OK.
