I am making a cleaning to-do list to go around my work schedule:
Daily:
-Wash all dishes when I get home from work (since nobody else is gonna do it…ugh)
-Sweep and mop the floors
-Put away all the kids’ toys after they go to bed and pick up the other clutter, returning it to its proper location
-Run a load of clothes in the washer when needed
Wednesday morning before work:
-Clean the shower (just got some awesome new shampoo and body wash on sale, so I have incentive to have squeaky-clean facilities to make it the ultimate showering experience)
-Gather hangers and start cleaning, folding, and putting away the clean clothes (that you don’t even want to know how long they have been sitting in baskets while I rummage through looking for something to wear)
-Put my electrostatic duster to good use getting dust bunnies and cobwebs out of corners and off the ceiling
Wednesday after work:
-Spend at least 1 hour in the Clutter Room (yes, I have a clutter room…don’t ask) with the goal of putting away all the kids’ current clothes in the proper closet/drawer
Thursday before work:
-Clean the refrigerator inside and out
-Clean out the computer desk
Thursday after work:
-Spend at least one hour in the Clutter Room with the goal of packing up all the kids’ outgrown toys and clothes we plan to keep
Friday before work:
-Work on my cleaning out my closet goal
Friday after work:
-Spend at least one hour in the Clutter Room with the goal of packing at least six boxes for donation
Saturday before work:
-Dust out all the cabinets and shelves in the kitchen
-Organize the pots and pans and donate any we don’t use
-Organize the cleaning supplies under the sink (since it’s pretty bad when THOSE aren’t organized)
Saturday after work:
-Put all of the kids’ boxes of outgrown clothes in their closet or in the back of mine
Take Sunday off of cleaning except for daily tasks and taking a few baby hand-me-downs to a friend of mine for her friend’s baby
Monday:
-Take donations to the donation box
-Finish cleaning the Clutter Room, effectively making it my daughter’s room, and have her in there by bedtime
