I have the phone number of the person who works for the county who is responsible for the land I want to use for the garden. Whenever I call, I get an answering machine. I guess I will ahve to leave my phone number to contact him.

I was talking with my neighbors yesterday about the other community garden and one of the couples in the area has a plot there. They love it. Their yard is on the edge of a steep canyon so they do not have any real yard. The garden allows them to grow veggies.

I need to get the above ground beds ready so I can plant some fall crops. The weather wants to cool off (but it is supposed to be 100 later in the week). Perhaps I will invite some of my neighbors over to discuss above ground beds? They have a lot of knoweledge and they are very nice people. That would be a nice idea.
