There is a pair of yoked churches (2 small churches close to each other that share a single full time pastor) that found me and had enough interest to call me and ask if I wanted to see their full profile which I got in the mail yesterday. Now it is up to me to review the profile and if I am still interested to let them know and send a few sample sermons. Depending upon the church they may then take it to a phone interview or continue to look a little more to see if there is anybody else that they like better first before taking the next step with me. When it gets to the stage of an in person interview on site it is almost a given that you are the top choice as in the UCC it is the church that has to pay for the travel expenses and lodging of the minister who they are interviewing.
