I think I had the same or similar goal up here a couple years ago (have I really been on here that long???). I did some reorganizing and moving furniture and added a piece of furniture, all during and toward the end of the summer, and so now I have the mess left from moving stuff and in trying to get into the new academic year I’m adding piles on top and it’s driving me, yes, a little bit mad. For the most part, thanks to a marathon dishwashing session right before classes started both my kitchen and my living room are pretty clean. Right now it’s the bedroom and the office, and i actually don’t even know where to put everything. pulling hair out over minor thing in life :P so this is going back on the list. National Day Holiday coming up, so hopefully I can take care of this quickly, and have lots of time to enjoy and get work done in my clean and organized bachelorette pad. :)
