I have been really thinking about doing this once I have my degree..I think it would be a really great experience and give me a better sense of what I want to do with my life. Has anyone done it??

Awesome!
That’s so awesome. I’m jealous that you can apply already. What do you have your degree in? I was watching the videos on the web-site yesterday and it seems like it’d be a really one-of-a-kind experience. Two years seems like such a long time though! Is there a particular region your hoping to go?
Wow..
Your degrees are really perfect for the experience..I’m checking out a few books from the library about the peace corps..ha I over research EVERYTHING. At this point I’m 95% convinced that I want to do it. Another part of me doesn’t want to leave for 2 years..I have a 2 year old neice that I see almost every day, so the thought of not seeing her for two years, is awful. I would miss out on so much with her. I don’t want to come back and her not even know who I am, ya know? I’d miss my friends and family too but they’d understand me leaving.
I’m with you on the whole electricity thing :) Running water is important to me but at the same point, it’d be my one of my greatest challenges to not have it and maybe I need to go through that.
I’m going to look into other volunteering abroad opportunities that are for shorter periods of time just to see..
That’s awesome about your interview!! Good luck with that.
I don’t really know where I want to go..I’d love to go to a place like Figi or in that area but I doubt that I would get to..I guess I just want to go where I’m most needed. We’ll see what happens!
My degree is in business, so helping in that area would be an amazing learning experience for me.
Let me know how the interview goes!
