And the main reason, I think, is because I actually have a motivation, a reason to take care of myself other than my own self, if you know what I mean. We all want to be happy in our skin, be healthy and all, but like many other things, you don’t always feel like doing it when you’re doing it only for yourself! It’s like preparing dinner. If you’re having dinner alone, you probably won’t cook a big fancy meal that might take many hours out of your time, if you’ll be the only one to eat it. You’ll do it for your loved one, your family, your friends, your guests, but not for you alone, because you think most of the time that it’s not really worth the time and energy.
I’ve had the same philosophy about my body for as long as I can remember. In fact, I never really cared about how I looked. And it seems like to know that other people care, like a girlfriend or some close friends, it brings a whole new perspective. If I can’t do it for myself, at least I can be motivated to do it for others. And I’m glad it’s the case.
