I would like to walk across the USA in a group of around four or more. I just started looking for a way to find just that a group. I wanted to average around 10 miles per day. At 10 miles per day it would take around 10 months to complete. I am also thinking about sleeping outside often. Showers when available like truck stops, camping grounds, and the motel room stays. It would also be fun to visit as many sightseeing locations as possible. I figured the whole thing could cost as low as $5000 then add cost to return plane bus or train. Just to be safe think $10000 which is what you might spend through the entire adventure. I understand a group means others will want to make some changes and decide where to go=)
