the pain in my upper back isn’t going away. Even with the corrections to my alignment in yoga poses and in sitting and standing, even if I get that consistently perfect, I think I need some bodywork of some kind to reverse the damage done by years of overextending in my thoracic spine. I have to admit now that one reason why I have not been able to resume a consistent seated meditation practice this year is that I am avoiding the issues of pain. The pain during my Commit to Sit program became too severe, and I haven’t been able to sit in comfort for long periods since. I’ll be trying a new meditation goal with other meditation positions (seated in a chair, against a wall, or lying down) to see if that helps. I also need to get this situation addressed by a professional (or multiple professionals)... although I can’t afford to, I need to find a way.
