When were you there?
My family is from there. There’s a bench dedicated to my grandparents by the boat float. I used to go down every year for regatta but hadn’t been for about 10 years until this July. Promise to go back more often in future.

I was supposed to be meeting my brother there with his family in early August that year...
...but I had engine trouble in Southampton, and got held up for a week in Weymouth. Ended up arriving in Dartmouth early September. For some reason they’d gone home! Useless. So I rang him up from the boat float to complain that there was no greeting party! ;-)
