Stephen is going the distance
This is it, the final day before surgery. I made a lab appointment so I could speed up my blood retest during an early lunch at 10:45. My doctor’s office called about 12:30 to check if I had done the test or not. Luckily work was not too busy today because I had to finish my employee benefits selection for 2012 before I left work as well as finish up a few other work related tasks. My time-sheet was pretty weird too because my supervisor and I had to revise it a couple of times to put everything the way Payroll wants it which didn’t make any sense to me at all, but I didn’t really care either.
I called my doctors office again at 3pm and got the news that the white cell count had fallen to 12,000 and while that was still above normal, it showed that it was heading that way. So now I am completely cleared for surgery!
After work, I filled my 10-325 Vicodin prescription for after I get back home. I also had my last meal (at a vegan Chinese restaurant) with my sons due to an arrangement with my ex. All in all I got everything done I needed to. My ride to the hospital will take me at 04:30am tomorrow. If you don’t hear from me for awhile, a prayer to heal quickly would be awesome. See you all after I finish this goal!
