This weekend was a good one. I am so thankful that Paul got to leave work early on Friday to pick me up after my last day, and we went to lunch. We spent time with friends on Saturday, and relaxed all weekend long. It was a nice way to unwind after last week.
All of my steroid side effects have disappeared since I’ve stopped taking the taper, and I am also eternally thankful for that. Simply living was becoming unbearable! I’m still slightly swollen in my wrists and stomach, but I think I just need to up my water intake.
I am feeling so much better about life. For the longest time, I always thought “If I had no actual job, I would use it to my advantage, and do the things I love.” And now that that is actually happening, I freaked out. Paul thinks I should use this time to expand my cooking / baking repertoire, and I’m thinking of signing up for a new student special at a yoga studio in Old Town, and I still have a bunch of antiques to upload into my Etsy shop. I look forward to this week every year, so I’m just going to continue with my theme of thanks – so I am very thankful to have this time off to cook delicious things for Paul and my family this week, make our house beautiful and clean, and have the free time to embark on my creative endeavors.
