I heard a song from one of my favorite albums the other day. It made me think of voices and how I love the female voice in music. There is more range and feeling more often than the male voice. It brought three of my favorite albums to mind.

Bare by Annie Lennox – This is a very good album and just missed being truly great. Still, I love all the songs and Annie’s voice is super.

No Vacancy by The Motels – This is The Motels greatest hits album. Martha Davis’ voice is stands out. One of the great torch singers of all time.

Walking Wounded by Everything But the Girl – Tracy Thorn is always clear and soulful. I love all the EBTG albums and this is one of the best.
