chatting on the phone whilst on my way to top up my travelcard before making a 2 hours journey to see the fella i was dating i passed by an old lady sat on a wall .. hearing her say ‘i want to go home’ i stopped, re-traced my step 10 paces and asked her if she was okay .. she replied saying she needed to go home, i asked her where home was, it was just along the street .. hanging up my phone i offered to help her, took her few groceries and slowly walked her home, saw her safe inside before closing her front door on my way back out again ..

I realised how lucky i was being able to independantly rush through my day and how rewarding it can be just to slow it down sometimes with an added awareness of just how vulnerable the vulnerable people in our midsts can be ..

This happened a couple of months ago and was my reason for adding this goal !!
