I heard a delightful review of this book on NPR but found it to be a tedious and slightly annoying read. The author is a charachter in the book, the chaplettes are the perfect length for bedtime reading but, despite these interesting-sounding details, the book was not enjoyable. I think Patty had a great time writing but it didn’t translate into a great time reading it. I was very disappointed!
