I’m 24, completely normal weight and have a fairly healthy lifestyle (no caffeine/cigarettes, lots of fruit & vegies, I walk a lot because I don’t have a car) but I’ve now officially been diagnosed with high blood pressure.
I have a family history of it (and stroke), plus lots of anxiety problems so I suppose it’s not entirely unsurprising.
I work in a hospital and see a lot of stroke and cardiac patients so I know the long-term consequences… and I’ll be careful to try and control it. It’s just so annoying to have to be so careful with my diet at my age – I’m already on low wheat and low-fat dairy because of my IBS :(
