It sounds so easy, “redecorate”. We do have a nice sheet set and new thermal curtains, but now we need to fill out the rest of the room. We need a headboard, some kind of seating, and a slightly bigger dresser. Our bedroom set was my parents’ when they graduated from college. It’s a decent set of furniture, but it needs some sanding, wood filler, and staining and I just don’t feel like doing it since the dresser is too small for us. It was GREAT when it was just me using it, but to make room for the Egman’s clothes, my sweaters are in a stack on the floor of the closet and all of my exercise clothes are tossed up on the shelf. And since the side tables match it, I’ll have to give the whole set back to my parents when we’re done with it, so that’s another two pieces of furniture. The seating we have. It’s just in the office until we get a guest bed for that room. Then art. The ceilings are high and the room needs a few large pieces of art of some sort to keep the room from feeling visually cold, and a bright rug would look nice if we can get one for a reasonable price.

So it’s a big project.
